Beauport Ship
Beauport Captain - Dave Yurina

I have 20 years experience in the marine field. From Mate aboard ocean going tugs sailing all over Southeast, And Western Alaska as well as remote locations on the Yukon River.

In order to broaden my experience I began sailing as 1st Officer, then Captain for the past 10 years aboard passenger vessels. I also do relief work for University Of Washington’s Oceanographic Ships, projects in the Indian Ocean, Arabian Sea, South China Sea and Hawaii. I Continue to do relief work on a variety of passenger and other vessels.

I Joined Beauport in January of 2008 in Panama and had a wonderful time bringing her up to La Paz, Mexico. I like Beauport because she is a very unique ship, not your typical fiberglass yacht. She has many capabilities due to her size and the variety of equipment she carries.

I started sailing in the Sea of Cortez on passenger vessels 10 years ago, and immediately fell in love with the area. I liked La Paz so much, that I bought a Grand Banks 36 to live on here in La Paz.

Beauport is my home now. My philosophy is that when we have guests, it is their home as well.
